NEW! Read to Ride program!
Catch the Red Flannel Fever at the Cedar Springs Library!

The Red Flannel Festival, Cedar Springs Public Library and Elliott’s Amusements has partnered for the first “Read to Ride” Program. “Catch the Red Flannel Fever” this year at the Library with a September “Red Read-a-Thon” to earn tickets to ride carnival rides at this year’s Red Flannel Festival! The theme is RED…only books that have something to do with RED will count toward the program. According to Library Director, Donna Clark, “The book jacket can be RED or have RED in it, RED can be in the title, the word RED can appear in the story somewhere!” Celebrate RED! By reading one book a week a win a FREE ride on any ride you choose (3 books = 1 free ticket)…read two books a week and win TWO FREE rides (6 books = 2 free tickets! Have you “RED” a good book lately?

The rules are simple. Read 3 books and get your parent or teacher to initial and get a free ticket to ride at Red Flannel Days. Read 6 books and get 2 tickets. Bring your log into the library by September 25th.
2 Tickets per child.

Festival presents new events!!!
Teen Dance, Star Wars Characters and the Car Show is back!!!

The Red Flannel Festival Board of Directors has been working diligently to provide fresh new events for the 69th “Catch the Red Flannel Fever!” Festival celebration. “The board has added 16 new events in the last few years,” said President Michele Andres. “This board is extremely dedicated to ensuring the Red Flannel Festival the biggest and best ever! We’re already working on plans for BIG NEW EVENTS for the 70th celebration in 2009!”
